Telchac Puerto es una pequeña población del estado de Yucatán ubicada en el Golfo de México, con una hermosa playa de arena blanca.
Su ubicación, a solo una hora de Mérida, lo hace el sitio perfecto para combinar un viaje con los atractivos de una bella ciudad colonial y un bonito destino de playa, donde el calor se disfruta todo el año.
¿Dónde ir y qué hacer en Telchac Puerto?
Centro y Malecón
Apenas llegas a este hermoso destino tienes que conocer el Malecón, donde encontrarás un muelle que se extiende sobre el mar, con bancos para sentarse y disfrutar un buen rato.
Las vistas del puerto de Telchac son hermosas, amaneceres y atardeceres son parte de lo bello; también podrás visitar los puestos de artesanías, una buena oportunidad de colaborar con la población local.
No olvides preparar tu cámara, hay varios spots para obtener fotos increíbles, los delfines, las letras con el nombre del pueblo, un tiburón, un banco gigante, pueden ser la decoración ideal para una linda foto.
Muy cerquita de allí, caminando, encuentras la plaza principal, otro sitio para tomar lindas postales de tu viaje; depende la época del año, tienen decoraciones muy bonitas. Enfrente está la parroquia del pueblo, el Palacio Municipal y algunos lugares para comer ricos platillos yucatecos.
Playas y Reservas Ecológicas
Telchac Puerto es parte de lo que se conoce como la Costa Esmeralda de Yucatán, una sucesión de comunidades y playas que se extienden a lo largo de 98 km, con menos de 2 horas de recorrido en auto, si no haces paradas.
Las playas de esta zona son: Chuburná, Puerto Chelem, Progreso, Sisal, Chicxulub Puerto, Uaymitún, Telchac Puerto, San Crisanto, Chabihau, Santa Clara, San Felipe, Dzilam Bravo.
Vale la pena tomarte el tiempo para pasear y disfrutar cada una de estas playas, aguas transparentes, arena blanca, clima agradable, palmeras, algunas muy solitarias y otras con balnearios, sitios para comer y otros servicios, todas buenas alternativas para pasar el día como más te guste.
Y un plus en esta travesía son las reservas, la más cercana es la Reserva Ecológica “Sayachaltun”, un lugar precioso donde comer rico, practicar actividades como kayak, canoa y más propuestas para estar en contacto con la naturaleza.
También tienes opción de visitar el Área Natural Protegida Estatal Ciénagas y Manglares de la Costa Norte de Yucatán y la Reserva Ecológica el Corchito, a menos de una hora de Telchac Puerto.
Zona Arqueológica de Xcambó
A solo 15 minutos del malecón hallarás Xcambó, con edificaciones de grandes dimensiones, varios basamentos, estructuras diversas, que en conjunto crean un escenario digno de admirar.
Las fotos que puedes lograr de todo el yacimiento desde arriba de una de las pirámides son impresionantes, no te la pierdas.
Cerca de allí está el Cenote Sayá Bak, si llevas la ropa adecuada y tienes suerte de que esté abierto, es otra linda opción para aprovechar.
En el camino de regreso puedes hacer una parada en las salinas rosas, si el tiempo acompaña, el color rosa de las aguas es parte del atractivo, también puedes buscar a quienes trabajan allí y pedir que te cuenten como es el proceso de obtención del mineral.
Además, unos minutos más por la costa te lleva hasta la zona de flamingos, un lugar hermoso, muy tranquilo y con esas maravillosas aves que embellecen todo aún más.
Manglar San Crisanto
Estando en Telchac Puerto, tienes que tomar un tiempo para conocer el manglar en San Crisanto.
Puedes tomar un tour que te lleve por el interior del manglar hasta descubrir un ojo de agua, una experiencia fascinante en contacto con un entorno natural único.
Especial mención tienen las playas aquí, con aguas muy calmas y las palmeras que completan un escenario fascinante, imposible de olvidar.
Los encantos de Mérida
Mérida esta muy cerca de Telchac Puerto, solo 70 km del centro de esa bella ciudad; hay quienes eligen alojarse allí y hacer el recorrido diario a la playa, otros priorizan despertar junto al mar, ambas opciones muy validas.
Cualquiera sea la alternativa, no te pierdas de conocer los encantos de Mérida, los paseos por la ciudad te van a deslumbrar, el centro, el Paseo Montejo, la Catedral, etc., hay muchos lugares para admirar.
Toma el tiempo para un recorrido tanto de día como de noche, las experiencias visuales son distintas, ambas te fascinarán.
